9T Labs to Open First Office in the US, Boston

9T Labs, specialists in digital, automated, cost-competitive series production of continuous fibre components, is set to open its inaugural office in Boston, after being officially incorporated in the United States last month.

Date: 07/01/2022

The decision has been taken following the company's plans for expansion with its Series A funding round earlier this year, which raised $17-million USD to help further commercialise the innovative 9T Labs Red Series® Additive Fusion Solution platform for the production of advanced continuous fibre-reinforced thermoplastic (CFRTP) composite parts.

9T Labs' first office in the United States will allow the country’s latest minds and innovators in structural composites the opportunity to learn about and experience the Swiss company’s unique advancements in composite additive manufacturing. The first US team members will be signed in the coming weeks, with the following employees travelling to Zurich, Switzerland to train with the technology at 9T Labs’ headquarters.

Martin Eichenhofer, CEO at 9T Labs said: “We are very excited to start this next step for the company. Our team is confident of a strong impact on the American markets by our latest innovations in advanced composite additive manufacturing, and we look forward to working with US investors and expanding our reach to customers.”

9T Labs Chairman, John Hartner, former Chief Executive Officer of ExOne (Pittsburgh, PA, USA) is an experienced leader with more than 30 years’ involvement in the automation, semiconductor, clean tech, and 3D printing industries. Based in the United States, Hartner noted after the Series A funding round; “I have been impressed by the company's unique solution and am very excited to help the team to bring this technology to manufacturing companies around the world.”
